DESCRIPTION:<p>The Department of Philosophy at Uppsala University will be hosting a conference on the language and metaphysics of normativity (broadly construed) on May 30-31\, 2016. The conference is under the auspices of the Varieties of Normativity Project\, funded by the Swedish Research Council (<a href="http://vr.se/">vr.se</a>). The confirmed invited speakers are:</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Stephanie Leary (Rutgers)</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Pekka V&auml\;yrynen (Leeds)</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Jack Woods (Bilkent)</p>\n<p>Several additional speakers will be selected through an anonymous review of submissions.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;For each paper selected\, the Department will contribute up to 5000 SEK to cover the travel and accommodations of the author(s).</p>\n<p>Please submit <strong>either</strong> a full paper suitable for a 45-minute presentation <strong>or</strong> a long\, detailed abstract (at least 1500 words) on any topic concerning the language and/or metaphysics of normativity (broadly construed).&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Please ensure that the paper or abstract is formatted and redacted for anonymous review.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Papers and abstracts should be sent to <a href="mailto:normativityconference@gmail.com">normativityconference@gmail.com</a>. Deadline for submissions is February 1\, 2016.
