DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call for Contributions: XXV SIUCC (Valencia\, October 20</strong>?<strong>22\, 2016)&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Paper submission deadline</strong>: June 12th\, 2016.</p>\n<p><br>The Spanish Society for Analytic Philosophy (SEFA) invites submissions for the XXV edition of the SIUCC to be held in Valencia in October 20?22\, 2016\, which will focused on the work of the invited guest\, Timothy Williamson.</p>\n<p>The<strong>&nbsp\;SIUCC&nbsp\;</strong>(<em>Seminario Interuniversitario de Ciencia Cognitiva</em>) annual conferences are three?day workshops organized under the auspices of the SEFA (www.sefaweb.es) since the creation of the society in 1994. Invited speakers are asked to present three papers\, which can be new material or a revision of former work. The program is completed with the presentation of 8?12 contributed papers on topics related to the work of the invited speaker.</p>\n<p>Recent SIUCC workshops were: XXIV\, Valladolid 2015\, invited speaker: Jason Stanley\; XXIII\, Sevilla 2014\, invited speaker: Jennifer Hornsby\; XXII\, Donostia?San Sebastian 2012\, invited speaker: Jesse Prinz\; XXI\, Granada 2011\, invited speaker: Jaakko Hintikka\; XX\, Barcelona\, 2010\, invited speaker: Crispin Wright\; XIX\, Zaragoza 2009\, invited speaker: Ernest Sosa\; XVIII\, Madrid 2008\, invited speaker: John Perry\; XVII\, Palma de Mallorca\, 2007\, invited speaker: Peter Carruthers\; XVI\, Valencia 2006\, invited speaker: Richard Moran\; XV\, Madrid 2005\, invited speaker: Rob? ert Brandom\; XIV\, Murcia 2004\, invited speaker: John McDowell.</p>\n<p><strong>TIMOTHY WILLIAMSON&nbsp\;</strong>(B.A.\, M.A.\, D.Phil\, Oxford)<strong>&nbsp\;</strong>has been the Wykeham Professor of Logic at Oxford since 2000. His main research interests are in philosophical logic\, epistemology\, metaphysics and philosophy of language. He is the author of&nbsp\;<em>Identity and Discrimination</em>&nbsp\;(Blackwell 1990\, updated edition 2013)\,&nbsp\;<em>Vagueness</em>&nbsp\;(Routledge 1994)\,&nbsp\;<em>Knowledge and its Limits</em>&nbsp\;(Oxford 2000)\,&nbsp\;<em>The Philosophy of Philosophy</em>&nbsp\;(Blackwell 2007)\,&nbsp\;<em>Modal Logic as Metaphysics</em>&nbsp\;(Oxford 2013)\,&nbsp\;<em>Tetralogue</em>&nbsp\;(Oxford 2015) and about two hundred articles. He has been President of the Aristotelian Society and the Mind Association and Vice-President of the British Logic Colloquium. Authors of accepted papers will be notified before July 30th\, 2016.
