DESCRIPTION:<p>The 2016 Undergraduate Conference for Philosophy and Theory at the University of Florida April 2\, 2016 Gainesville\, Florida</p>\n<p>The Undergraduate Philosophy Society is dedicated to fostering critical investigation and discussion at the undergraduate level of topics from a variety of overlapping disciplines. We thus invite undergraduate students from any college or university to submit proposals for presentations at our second annual conference. The event will be hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville on <strong>April 2\, 2016</strong>\, and will feature a keynote address from Dr. Brook Sadler.</p>\n<p>Dr. Sadler is Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies at USF\, and a past president of the Florida Philosophical Association. Her poetry and philosophical work have been published widely. Her research interests include ethical theory\, the history of moral philosophy\, philosophy of love and sex\, feminist philosophy\, and philosophy of film and literature.</p>\n<p><strong>CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS</strong></p>\n<p>Presentations are limited to 20 minutes in length (approximately 8-10 pages). We welcome presentations by undergraduates on any topic in philosophy or theory. A proposal must include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 200-400 word abstract of the paper you will be presenting\, including 4-5 keywords at the end.</li>\n<li>Your name\, college or university\, and email contact.</li>\n<li>An indication of whether or not you require audio-visual equipment for your presentation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by<strong> February 24\, 2016</strong>.
