DESCRIPTION:<p>CALL FOR PAPERS</p>\n<p><strong>UCLA Law and Philosophy Graduate Conference</strong></p>\n<p>Sunday\, April 10\, 2016</p>\n<p><em><strong>Submission deadline: Monday\, February 15\, 2016</strong></em></p>\n<p>UCLA Law and Philosophy Association will hold a graduate student conference on law and philosophy on Sunday\, April 10. The aim of this conference is to bring together graduate students\, law students\, postdocs\, and UCLA faculty members to discuss issues that arise at the intersection of law and philosophy. &nbsp\;Lunch will be served.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Law students\, graduate students\, recent law school graduates and recent Ph.D. recipients are invited to submit papers on law and philosophy\, broadly construed\, with a particular emphasis on critical approaches to law\, race\, and gender. &nbsp\;Please submit essays of approximately 4000 words\, prepared for blind review. &nbsp\;Submissions should be sent by email in doc\, docx\, pdf\, or rtf format to UCLALawandPhilosophyConference@gmail.com by Monday\, February 15. In a separate cover letter\, authors should provide their name\, the title of their paper\, their institutional affiliation\, and contact information. We aim to send notifications of decisions by Tuesday\, March 1 at the latest.</p>\n<p>We will not be able to assist speakers with transportation costs\, but we anticipate that we will be able to provide speakers with a place to stay in Los Angeles\, and most meals during the conference will be provided for speakers. &nbsp\;We also aim to provide some financial support for participants whose attendance is made difficult by childcare duties. &nbsp\;If you would like to request financial support for childcare\, please contact the organizing committee by email by Friday\, April 1.</p>\n<p>Prospective participants may contact the organizing committee at UCLALawandPhilosophyConference@gmail.com\, and we will happily answer any questions about the conference.&nbsp\;</p>
