\n\nThe International Social Ontology Society (ISOS) invites contributions to its tenth conference. Collective Intentionality X is an interdisciplinary conference concerning collective intentionality in particular and social ontology more generally.
\nRelevant topics include (but \; are not limited to): collective intention and action\, collective or team reasoning\, collective or distributed cognition\, collective responsibility\, rationality\, emotion\, consciousness\, attention\, memory\, decision-making\, knowledge\, norms and trust. Cooperation and competition and the roles they play in social practices\, organizations\, and institutions are also among the core themes.
\nInterdisciplinary submissions are encouraged. Relevant disciplines include philosophy\, psychology\, cognitive science\, computer science\, linguistics\, anthropology\, sociology\, political science\, law\, and economics.
\nSymposium on Collective Responsibility and Responsibility Gaps
\nThe conference will feature a symposium on collective responsibility in general and responsibility gaps in particular. This symposium features Gunnar Bjö\;rnsson&rsquo\;s lecture on this theme. Responsibility gaps arise when there is no straightforward reduction of responsibility at the collective level to responsibility at the individual level. Such gaps have been argued to occur within the context of organized as well as unorganized collectives. \;
\nThey can be explored in the abstract\, or in relation to specific problems such as corporate disasters or global justice. Papers on collective responsibility and terrorism are particularly welcome.
\nEssay prize
\nOn the occasion of this conference\, the International Social Ontology Society (ISOS) will also tender an essay prize in social ontology for early career scholars (up to six years after completing their PhD).
