DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Temporalism is the view that propositions (the meanings of sentences) have their truth value relative to worlds and times (perhaps among other indices)\, and vary in their truth value in a single world over time. In light of the discoveries of twentieth century physics about the physics of time &ndash\; particularly concerning the frame-variability of simultaneity &ndash\;\, one might wonder whether temporalism remains a viable theory of the metaphysics of meaning. In this talk I will explore the compatibility of temporalism (and the A-theory of time more generally) with relativity\, and evaluate the prospects for temporalism.</p>
