DESCRIPTION:<p>The&nbsp\;Philosophy and Linguistics departments at Ohio State are delighted to announce the fifth installment of the annual Ohio State Philosophy-Linguistic workshop to be held from March 23-24\, 2016\, at the Ohio State University in Columbus\, Ohio. This year&rsquo\;s topic is <strong>Modality</strong>.</p>\n\n<p>The aim of this workshop is to bring together philosophical and linguistic perspectives on the study of modality\, with the hope of achieving a better understanding of this deep and fascinating subject\, which raises a number of different issues ranging from epistemology to logic and metaphysics\, and from the nature of context-sensitivity to the semantics of quantification.</p>\n\n<p>The conference website\, which includes a tentative schedule and travel information is&nbsp\;http://u.osu.edu/modw2016/</p>\n\n<p>Registration is $20 for non-OSU affiliates.
