DESCRIPTION:<p>On the 3rd of March\, 2016\, the Humane Philosophy Project\, in collaboration with the&nbsp\;Aquinas Institute&nbsp\;will hold an afternoon colloquium adressing the meaning and&nbsp\; significance of mourning.</p>\n<p>The Humane Philosophy Project\, together with the Aquinas&nbsp\; Institute will present a day of talks exploring some aspects of the theme of mourning.&nbsp\; Topics will include the theological justification of grief in Thomas Aquinas\, the role&nbsp\; of community in the psychology of mourning\, connections between grief and the&nbsp\; sense of self\, the obligations of piety\, and tensions in modern understandings of mortality and bereavement.</p>\n<p>Venue: Aula\, Blackfriars Hall\, St Giles\, Oxford</p>\n<p>Time: 1:30 pm-7:30pm (wine reception at close)</p>\n<p>This event is free and open to the public. In order to help the organisers gauge numbers participants are requested to register by email to Mikolaj Slawkowski-Rode at m.slawkowski-rode@uw.edu.pl with the title 'MOURNING REGISTRATION'.</p>
