DESCRIPTION:
Ever since Lewis' celebrated possible worlds account\, counterfactuals have&nbsp\;been deeply involved with the notion of time. These days there are&nbsp\;alternative formulations of the semantics of counterfactuals\, some of which&nbsp\;focus on the complex role of probabilities (Leitgeb) and of formal&nbsp\;branching-time models of indeterminism (Mueller).&nbsp\;The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers&nbsp\;interested in the role of time in the formal treatment of counterfactuals.
\n
Schedule:

09:30-10:30 - Jan-Willem Romeijn &amp\; Ronnie Hermens (Groningen) "Belief&nbsp\;dynamics for conditionals"

10:45-11:45 - Sylvia Wenmackers (Groningen) "Infinitesimal turn in a garden&nbsp\;of forking paths"

12:00-13:00 - Alex Malpass (Bristol) "Historical Similarity"

14:00-15:00 - Aviezer Tucker (Austin) "Historiographic Counterfactuals and&nbsp\;Historical Evidence"

15:15-16:15 - Thomas Mueller (Utrecht) "On the role of space-time for&nbsp\;counterfactuals"

16:30-17:30 - Hannes Leitgeb (Munich) "A New Lottery Paradox for&nbsp\;Counterfactuals"

Invited discussants include Jacek Wawer and Leszek Wronski.

Registration is free\, but please contact Samantha Pollock&nbsp\;(c&nbsp\;to register.
