DESCRIPTION:<p>The College of William and Mary's Biennial Conference celebrates the 30th anniversary of Alvin Goldman's <em>Epistemology and Cognition</em>.&nbsp\; The event will include 8 presentations which concern the themes of Goldman's book\, especially the implications of cognitive science for epistemology.&nbsp\; 6 presentations\, including one from Goldman\, are from philosophers and two are from psychologists.&nbsp\; The discussants for the event are Anna-Sara Malmgren (Stanford U)\, Lisa Miracchi (U of Pennsylvania)\, Ram Neta (UNC-Chapel Hill)\, and Patrick Rysiew (U of Victoria).&nbsp\; The papers from the conference\, as well as some from the discussants\, will be collected in the 2017 volume of <em>Philosophical Topics</em>.</p>\n<p>Attendance at the conference is free\, but\, for accurate catering numbers\, please let Chris Tucker (cstucker@wm.edu) know that you plan attend.&nbsp\; You can also let him know if you have interest in chairing a session.&nbsp\; More details about the conference will be posted in due course at the below website.</p>\n<p>William and Mary's Department of Philosophy is grateful for the generous support of Teresa Thompson ('67) and Michael Foradas ('78).</p>
