The Philosophy Branch of the WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business)\, \;the Department of Philosophy of the University of Vienna\, \;and the Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy \;jointly host the conference \;"Wittgenstein on Colour".

Ludwig Wittgenstein's so-called "Remarks on Colour" are frequently \;described as extremely fragmented and exceptionally difficult to \;understand\, and their significance remains (on the whole) unclear. \;Furthermore\, compared with other aspects of Wittgenstein's philosophy\, \;his thoughts on colour have\, to date\, received little attention. \;For this reason\, the Philosophy Branch of the WU\, the Department of \;Philosophy of the University of Vienna and the Vienna Forum for Analytic \;Philosophy will be hosting a conference that aims to substantially \;advance our understanding of this material\, which is without doubt among \;the most opaque and perplexing of Wittgenstein's writings.
