DESCRIPTION:<p>The 2016 <em>New Zealand Association of Philosophers </em>Conference will be hosted by the Philosophy Programme at the University of Waikato in Hamilton\, from 29 November to 2 December 2016.</p>\n<p>The opening address will be given by Liezl van Zyl on the evening of Tuesday\, 29 November 2016\, 7.00-8.30PM and will be followed by a reception. Other events include the conference dinner on Friday\, 2 December 2016\, and a beer tasting event on Wednesday\, 30 November 2016.</p>\n<p>We invite submissions on any philosophical topic from advanced postgraduate students and academics. Conferees should submit an abstract (<strong><em>not to exceed</em></strong> 1000 words\; in .doc\, .docx\, or .pdf format) of their proposed paper for presentation at this year&rsquo\;s annual meeting by <strong>15 October 2016</strong>.</p>\n<p>Since some institutions of higher education require academic staff and students to submit requests for financial support well in advance of travel to a professional conference\, submissions will be evaluated and a verdict rendered as soon as possible after submission\, even if submission is well in advance of the deadline.</p>\n<p>All submissions should be made via the 2016 NZAP website:</p>\n<p>http://waikato.ac.nz/fass/conferences/NZAP-2016</p>
