DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call for Abstracts:&nbsp\; 10th &nbsp\;West Coast Plato Workshop: Plato&rsquo\;s <em>Gorgias</em></strong></p>\n<p>The next (and tenth) West Coast Plato Workshop will meet at UC Davis on the weekend of May 20-21\, 2017 (organizers: Prof. Jan Szaif\, Prof. Carey Seal).</p>\n<p>If you would like to present a talk on the <em>Gorgias</em>\, please send a <strong>500-word abstract for blind review</strong> to Jan Szaif (<a href="mailto:Julie.Piering@nau.edu">jmszaif@ucdavis.edu</a>) by <strong>September 30\, 2016</strong>.</p>\n<p>Referees will seek coverage of different parts of the dialogue as they rank the abstracts. Accepted papers will receive commentators (which is why we would also like to hear from those who would be willing to serve as commentators).</p>\n<p><em>Timeline:<br></em><strong>Deadline for submission of abstract: </strong>September 30\, 2016.<br>Authors notified: by November 10\, 2016.<br>Completed papers (around 3000 words) are due to organizers and commentators: February 28\, 2017.</p>\n<p>UC Davis is located just 25 minutes from Sacramento International Airport (SMF). The San Francisco Bay Area is also not far.</p>\n
