DESCRIPTION:<p>(Note that this is the <u>same building</u> as last week's talk\, <u>but a different room</u>) <a target="_blank">http://maps.unimelb.edu.au/parkville/building/260</a></p>\n<p>Abstract: This talk describes the goals of and principles of YourView\, a new virtual forum with the quixotic ambition of fixing a number of obvious problems of democracy.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The talk will ramble over such topics such as the existence and nature of a collective mind\; the challenge of introspection for said collective mind\; epistemic virtues and how the credibility of a forum&rsquo\;s participants can be computed by operationalizing epistemic virtues.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; There will be a live demo of YourView. </p>
