DESCRIPTION:<p>The Department of Philosophy at the University of Chicago is organizing a conference in honor of Josef Stern\, William H. Colvin Professor Emeritus in the Department of Philosophy and in the College\, and Inaugural Director&nbsp\;of the Chicago Center for Jewish Studies. The conference will be an occasion to honor Josef Stern&rsquo\;s work and his contributions to the University\, where he retired in the Spring quarter 2016 after having taught almost continuously since 1979.</p>\n<p>The conference will be held at the Franke Institute for the Humanities.</p>
