DESCRIPTION:<p>The University of Kentucky's Philosophy Graduate Student Association&nbsp\;announces its 20th Annual Philosophy Graduate Student Conference\, this year on the topic of <strong>virtue</strong>.&nbsp\; We&nbsp\;seek to address the shift in the concept of the &ldquo\;good&rdquo\; between ancient and modern eras\, broadly speaking.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Topics&nbsp\;in which we are interested&nbsp\;include&nbsp\;the concept of virtue\, virtue ethics\, morality\, habituation\,&nbsp\;character\, and&nbsp\;historical shifts and contrasts in assumptions and conceptions.&nbsp\; Continental\, analytic\, historical\, and contemporary&nbsp\;approaches are all welcomed.&nbsp\; Presentations will be followed by commentary from&nbsp\;a graduate student.</p>
