DESCRIPTION:<p>The Marquette Philosophy Graduate Student Association invites submissions for our 2017 annual spring conference.&nbsp\; The theme of this year&rsquo\;s conference is &ldquo\;Forgotten Philosophers (and why we should remember them.&rdquo\;&nbsp\; A &ldquo\;forgotten philosopher&rdquo\; is a philosopher whose work has been typically neglected\, ignored\, marginalized\, or has simply fallen out of favor in the contemporary philosophical context. &nbsp\;The category itself is open to interpretation.&nbsp\; Our hope for this year&rsquo\;s conference is to give graduate students the opportunity to share their research on figures that are no longer generally appreciated.&nbsp\; In particular\, we want to give up-and-coming researchers a chance to show why their philosopher of choice is worthy of attention today.&nbsp\; We encourage submissions about any tradition or period of historical philosophy.</p>
