DESCRIPTION:<p>On the 25th and 26th March 2017 the Department of Philosophy at the University of Tartu will host a graduate conference on the epistemology of disagreement. The keynote speaker will be <strong>Jonathan Matheson</strong> (University of North Florida). The aim of the conference is to bring together MA and PhD level students who are working on this area and other related topics. Suggested topics include\, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Epistemic Significance of Disagreement</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;Disagreements between Epistemic Peers</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;Disagreements in Idealized Contexts and Everyday Contexts</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Independence Principle</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Relationship between Uniqueness and Conciliationism</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Relationship between Permissiveness and Steadfastness</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;Higher Order Evidence and First Order Evidence</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;The Relevancy of Personal Evidence</li>\n<li>&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;Belief Independence</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Abstracts on other related topics such as the ethics of belief\, evidentialism\, and the theory of justification are also welcome.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Please send all submissions to <strong>tartugradphilconference@gmail.com</strong></p>\n<p>Abstracts should be around 800-1000 words.
