DESCRIPTION:<p>The Centre for the Study of Global Ethics and the&nbsp\;Department of Political Science and International Studies are pleased to invite you to join them for this co-hosted workshop on C&eacute\;cile Fabre's recently published book\,&nbsp\;<em>Cosmopolitan Peace</em>&nbsp\;(OUP\, 2016).</p>\n<p>The follow-up to 2012&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;<em>Cosmopolitan War</em>\, the book offers a novel and wide-ranging account\, from a cosmopolitan perspective\, of the ethics of ending wars\, and achieving peace after war\, including principles for governing the terms of postwar peace agreements\, military occupations and transitional foreign administrations\, restitution\, reparations and punishment for wartime wrongdoings\, as well as practices of reconciliation and remembrance.</p>\n<p>The conference will feature papers from Daniel Butt (Oxford)\,&nbsp\;Kasper Lippert-Rasmussen (Aarhus)\, Avia Pasternak (UCL)\, Zofia Stemplowska (Oxford)\, and Kit Wellman (Washington University in St Louis)\, as well as replies by Fabre herself.</p>\n<p>Spaces for this event are limited\, and registration is required.
