Call for papers

\nThe last twenty years or so have witnessed the emergence of a variety of new themes in epistemology\, as well as the appearance of new approaches to traditional questions such as those pertaining to knowledge\, epistemic justification and external-world scepticism. This conference aims to bring together young scholars and grad students working in epistemology from Italy and abroad to explore these new fascinating frontiers. The following is a non-exhaustive list of possible questions that perspective contributors might be willing to address:
\n- Is there a pragmatic dimension to (our attributions of) knowledge and epistemic justification?
\n- What does it take to be a virtuous/vicious epistemic agent? How do these notions relate to knowledge\, epistemic justification and other epistemic desiderata?
\n- Are there distinctively epistemic dimensions of injustice\, and if so what forms do they take?
\n- Are factive perceptual reasons introspectively accessible reasons?
\n- What is constitutive of epistemic authority?
\n- Does knowledge come first?
\n- Does believing the truth out of cognitive ability ensure believing the truth safely?
\n- Can knowledge arise from non-knowledge?
\n- Is epistemic responsibility a form of moral responsibility?
\n- Are mind and cognition extended?
\n- What are the epistemological implications of peer disagreement?
\n- What does it take to (fail to) transmit warrant and justification?
\n- What is the architecture of perceptual justification?
\n- What is evidence? Can it be false?
\n- How does knowledge how relate to knowledge that?
