DESCRIPTION:<p>We invite submissions by postgraduate students in&nbsp\;Philosophy and related fields\, all topics are welcome. Use the&nbsp\;opportunity to showcase your work\, get feedback from your peers\, and&nbsp\;network.</p>\n<p>We offer two kinds of presentation slots\, 55-minute and 30-minute&nbsp\;length. Authors are invited to submit an abstract of up to 200 words&nbsp\;(directly through our online registration form).</p>\n<p>Registration for this year's APPC is now open. Please visit our&nbsp\;conference website:&nbsp\;http://www.arts.auckland.ac.nz/appc</p>\n<p>Registration is free for presenters and non-presenting attendees. All&nbsp\;attendees must register in advance through our website (presenters by&nbsp\;31 August 2012\, non-presenters by 14 September 2012).<br><br>Limited funding is available to assist presenters who need to travel&nbsp\;from outside the New Zealand North Island (but from within New&nbsp\;Zealand\, Australia\, or Singapore). For details\, please visit the&nbsp\;conference website.<br><br>Other academic events that we will offer:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Q&amp\;A session on "How to Get Published in Philosophy" with the editor&nbsp\;of the Australasian Journal of Philosophy\, Prof Stewart Candlish&nbsp\;(Western Australia).</li>\n<li>Session on "Ten Years in Ten Minutes: On the Caprices of Life After&nbsp\;PhD". Five renowned philosophers talk about (roughly) the first decade&nbsp\;after they finished their doctorates.
