The third edition of the Cambridge Doctoral Workshop in Legal Theory will be held on 6 June 2017 at the University of Cambridge. We welcome abstracts that address legal questions from philosophical and theoretical perspectives.
\nOur keynote speaker is Professor Stanley L. Paulson\, the William Gardiner Hammond Professor of Law Emeritus and Professor of Philosophy\, Washington University in St. Louis.
\nThe Workshop is primarily for research students and those who have received their doctoral degree less than two years ago.
\nThe Workshop does not have a fixed theme. However\, given the expertise of Professor Paulson\, there is a possibility for a panel on 20th century European legal philosophy and legal theory. Consideration will generally be given to creating thematically-coherent panels when selecting abstracts for presentation.
\nUnfortunately\, we cannot offer subsidies for the presenters&rsquo\; travel and accommodation costs.
\nPlease send your abstract of less than 500 words and your CV to Ya Lan Chang (ylc33@cam.ac.uk) by 24 March 2017. The chosen presenters should submit their full papers by 5 May 2017 so that there is sufficient time to circulate the papers to the participants. The length of the paper should not exceed 8\,000 words (including footnotes).
