DESCRIPTION:<p>The workshop <em>DM1: Metaphysics in the Law </em>is an interdisciplinary series of talks focusing on issues at the intersection between contemporary analytic metaphysics and the philosophy of law. The topics to be dealt with will include metaphysical accounts of core legal phenomena (validity\, obligation\, authority)\, applications to law of central metaphysical concepts (grounding\, causation)\, and the relevance of the metaphysics of linguistic content for legal interpretation.</p>
