DESCRIPTION:Call for Abstracts: The Ninth Semantics and Philosophy in Europe\nColloquium (SPE9)<br><br>DATE: September 4-6\, 2017<br><br>VENUE: University of Padua<br><br>CONFERENCE WEBSITE:&nbsp\;<a href="http://www.spe9.lagado.org/">http://www.spe9.lagado.org/</a><br><br>This year's Semantics and Philosophy in Europe Colloquium consists in two special sessions:<br>[1] Applied Ontology and Natural Language<br>[2] Ontology and Generative Syntax<br><br>Invited speakers:<br><br>Session1:<br>Nicola Guarino (Trento)<br>James Pustejovsky (Brandeis)\, TBC<br>Laure Vieu (Toulouse)<br><br>Session 2:<br>Boban Arsenijevic (University of Ni&scaron\;)\, TBC<br>John Collins (East Anglia)<br>Andrea Moro (Pavia)<br>Gillian Ramchand (Tromsoe)<br><br>Preconference tutorial:<br>Ontology and Natural Language<br>Friederike Moltmann (CNRS)<br>Nicola Guarino (Trento)<br><br>We invite abstract submissions for 30-minute presentations on the topic of either session. Abstracts should contain original research that\, at the time of submission\, has neither been published nor accepted for publication. One person can submit at most one abstract as sole author and one abstract as co-author (or two co-authored abstracts).<br><br>Abstracts must be anonymous\, in PDF format\, 2 pages (A4 or letter)\, in a font size no less than 12pt. Please submit abstracts no later than May 31\, 2017\, indicating whether it is for Session 1 or 2. Note that no abstracts may be submitted simultaneously to SPE9 and the immediately following conference The Language of Ontology\, September 8-10 in Dublin.
