DESCRIPTION:
The World Health Organization defines health as a state of complete&nbsp\;physical\, mental\, spiritual and social well-being\, an indicator of&nbsp\;thoroughly healthy functioning. Health understood in such a way involves not&nbsp\;only the lack of a disease\, but also a positive aspect\, well-being. One of&nbsp\;the possible consequences of this approach is the salutogenic perspective&nbsp\;which promotes the development and strengthening of people's own resources&nbsp\;as a way to health.

The unprecedented challenges of the modern life make the the problem of&nbsp\;somatic and mental health a crucial subject area within contemporary social&nbsp\;and medical sciences. The amount of stress\, decision-making necessity and&nbsp\;the frequent lack of security and stability\, in particular\, constitute the&nbsp\;omnipresent mobility and impermanence\, which have an obvious and adverse effects on health.

For these reasons it is an important task to search for the strategies and&nbsp\;models of an excessive stress management which would minimize the health&nbsp\;costs involved. A special attention\, in particular\, should be payed to the&nbsp\;proposals directed at children and youths: positive prevention\,&nbsp\;strengthening adaptive capacities and the vital forces development.&nbsp\;
\n
The subject areas suggested:
\n
\n
Resilience as a health predictor
\n
Health and mental resilience in children and adolescents
\n
Health as seen from the existential perspective
\n
Coping with stress strategies and health
\n
Contemporary threats to mental health
\n
Patogenic vs salutogenic approach to disorders
\n
Prevention and health education
\n
\n
The conference schedule will involve keynote lectures with the participation&nbsp\;of foreign guests\, thematic and poster sessions.

Contact:&nbsp\;resilience.conf@gmail.com

More details can be found at:
