DESCRIPTION:<p>Philosophers of science and researchers from other areas with interests in big data and methodology\, including PhD candidates and early career researchers\, are encouraged to submit an abstract.</p>\n<p>Topics of interest include\, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The role played by &lsquo\;traditional&rsquo\; aspects of scientific research (e.g. experiments\, causal discovery\, etc.) in data-intensive science.</li>\n<li>Practical and methodological issues involved in scientific practices using (big) data.</li>\n<li>Modes of integration made necessary by the need of using different kinds of data regarding different phenomena.</li>\n<li>Role of values in data-intensive science.</li>\n<li>Aspects and notions of responsibility needed for big data approaches in the sciences.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Abstract of up to <strong>500 words</strong> (references aren&rsquo\;t included in the word count) should be sent in anonymised version to permit blinded review. Please state your name\, affiliation and title of the abstract only in the body of your email.
