DESCRIPTION:<p>Recent scientific research treating religion as a natural\, \ncognitive/cultural phenomenon that is the product of evolutionary \nprocesses has the potential to fundamentally alter how philosophers \ndiscuss religion. The aim of the workshop is to explore this potential \nby examining questions such as: What kinds of new philosophical \nquestions regarding religion can now be meaningfully pursued? What is \nthe significance\, if any\, of the current research for traditional issues\n in philosophy of religion? Is there scope for a new\, naturalist \nphilosophy of religion? Or is it simply that philosophy of religion has \ncome to an end?</p>\n<p><strong>Abstracts</strong></p>\n<p>Abstracts of less than 500 words will be accepted till <strong>March 31st</strong>. All submissions should be made through the <a target="_blank">easychair website</a>.\n Abstracts will be evaluated on a first come basis so early submission \nis strongly encouraged in order to avoid missing out on available spots.</p>\n<p><strong>Registration and accommodation</strong></p>\n<p>Early registrations will be till <strong>April 30th</strong>. The early \nregistration fee is 150 Euro (reduced rate &ndash\; 75 Euro)\, while the late \nregistration fee is 200 Euro. Fees cover the workshop sessions\, \nconference materials\, lunches\, coffee breaks and the minibus to and from\n Warsaw airport.</p>\n<p>Accommodation is available at the conference hotel. The cost is 100 Euro\n in total for four nights (July 2nd to 6th) in shared twin en suite \nrooms and includes breakfasts (limited single rooms available at higher \nprice). Availability of accommodation cannot be guaranteed for late \nregistrants.</p>\n<p>Registration and accommodation fees might change in the event of \nsignificant movement in the exchange rate of the Polish currency.</p>\n<p><strong>Publications</strong></p>\n<p>Following the meeting\, an\neffort will be made to publish selected papers from the workshop as either a\nspecial issue of an appropriate journal or as a separate volume of collected\npapers. In addition\, participants are encouraged to consider a <a target="_blank">special issue of\nThe Monist </a> on naturalising religious beliefs\, to be edited by James Beebe. That\ncall is not officially connected to the workshop but it is focussed\non the same topic and closes soon after our meeting.</p>
