DESCRIPTION:<p>The Anscombe Bioethics Centre warmly invites you to a half-day symposium on Saturday\, 22 July\, 1-4pm\, exploring the Catholic philosopher Elizabeth Anscombe's writings on contraception. This will take place at Blackfriars\, Oxford.</p>\n<p>Papers will be delivered by:</p>\n<p>- Prof. Stephan Kampowski\, professor of philosophical anthropology at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Rome<br>- Dr Anthony McCarthy\, who lectures in moral philosophy and sexual ethics including at the International Theological Institute (Trumau) where he is a visiting scholar</p>\n<p>With responses given by:</p>\n<p>- Dr Mary Geach\, Anscombe's literary executor and an independent scholar<br>- Dr Pia Matthews\, lecturer in healthcare ethics at St Mary's University\, Twickenham</p>
