DESCRIPTION:<p>EXTENDED DEADLINE: OCTOBER 25th</p>\n<p>Workshop: The Borders of Perception</p>\n<p>The aim of this workshop is to bring together several of the top scholars in the field to present new work on a range of philosophical topics related to perceptual experience. Some of the topics that will be discussed include:</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>(a) High-level vs. low-level views about the content of perceptual experience\;</p>\n<p>(b) The epistemological implications of cognitive influences on perceptual processes\;</p>\n<p>(c) The relationship between theories of experience and different sense modalities\;</p>\n<p>(d) Temporal experience and its relationship to (a)-(c).</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>The workshop has ten sessions\, each of them constituted by a talk delivered by an invited speaker\, followed by a short response given by a commentator and a public Q&amp\;A. Commentators should have a background in the topics that are the focus of the conference.
