The aim of this conference is to foster greater dialogue concerning \nrefugees and asylum seekers in Australia. This will be a unique \nopportunity to enhance academic cooperation for the study of refugee and\n asylum seeker issues.
The conference will be held in conjunction with an exhibition of \noriginal artworks by asylum seekers from detention. Proceedings will \nconclude with a concert of performances by Iranian\, Turkish\, Afghan and \nAustralian musicians. Presenters have the opportunity to publish in an \nupcoming special issue of Literature and Aesthetics\, dedicated to \nrefugee themes.
Attendance fee: $50 for non-presenters\, which includes lunch\, tea\, coffee\, refreshments and evening concert.
Concert only fee: $25.
All profits go to refugee support activities conducted by The Refugee Art Project.
