DESCRIPTION:<p>The second Annual Royal Institute\nof Philosophy Graduate Conference in Philosophy will be held at the University\nof the West of England\, Bristol. The theme for this year is the Self.</p>\n<p>The Self is at once both evident\nand alien\; intimate and inexplicit. It seems to be something with which we are\nintimately acquainted&mdash\;more than this\, it is thought to be the very essence of\nwhat we are&mdash\;but yet remains elusive. It is like Augustine&rsquo\;s comment on the\nnotion of time: if no one asks me\, then I know what it is.
