DESCRIPTION:<p>Sessions will be organized in the following categories:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>History of philosophy</li>\n<li>Philosophy of science</li>\n<li>Epistemology</li>\n<li>Philosophy of mind</li>\n<li>Philosophy of language</li>\n<li>Logic\, philosophy of logic\, philosophy of mathematics</li>\n<li>Metaphysics</li>\n<li>Moral philosophy\, ethics\, philosophy of action</li>\n<li>Aesthetics</li>\n<li>Political philosophy\, philosophy of law\, social philosophy</li>\n<li>Philosophy of religion</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br>We invite all researchers working in one of these fields and who wish to contribute to the congress to submit their proposals. PhD students are particularly encouraged to submit a proposal.<br><br><strong>Language</strong><br><br>Presentations can be in French or English.<br><br><strong>Submission format</strong><br><br>All contributions must include a short and a long abstract written in French or in English. Short abstracts will be entered directly on the submission platform in the appropriate input field. Long abstracts must be uploaded as an attached file. Both .pdf and .doc format are accepted.<br><br><em>Individual contributions</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>short abstract (200 words maximum)</li>\n<li>long <strong>anonymous</strong> abstract (1000 words maximum)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Thematic sessions (symposia)</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>short abstract (500 words maximum) describing the general topic</li>\n<li>long *anonymous* abstract containing a brief description of each talk (4 participants maximum\, 2000 words maximum)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Submission guidelines<br></strong><br>All submissions must be made exclusively electronically via the website:<br><a target="_blank">http://sopha2012.sciencesconf.org/</a><br><br>The heading "<strong>Submission</strong>" appears only after having registered on the SciencesConf website.<br><br>Important: for <strong>authors</strong> <strong>affiliated to a French institution</strong>\, during the submission procedure\, under the heading "<strong>Affiliation</strong>"\, the authors will <strong>necessarily</strong> have to provide the EPST code of their laboratory (e.g. for the CNRS and the university\, it will be of the form UMRxxxx\, EAxxxx\, etc.).<br><br><strong>Mode of evaluation</strong><br><br>Reviewers will evaluate all contributions anonymously. Therefore\, it is important for the abstracts not to mention the authors' names\, affiliations or any other personal information.<br><br><strong>Important dates<br></strong></p>\n<p><em>Submission deadline</em></p>\n<p>Individual contributions and symposium propositions will have to be submitted before <strong>November 15\, 2011</strong>.<br><br><em>Notification of acceptance<br></em><br>Information about acceptance of submitted papers and symposia will be available before <strong>15 January 2012</strong>.</p>
