DESCRIPTION:<p>We\ncall for historical\, systematic\, and original investigations of\nemotion. Papers may deal with topics from philosophical anthropology\,\nphilosophy of mind\, ethics\, epistemology\, and/or aesthetics. Possible\nlines of inquiry include: What is emotion? How are the affective\naspects of human existence related to and distinct from the rational\nand volitional aspects? What is the role of emotion in ethical action\nand in achieving happiness? How do the emotions reveal or obscure the\ngood\, the true\, and the beautiful?</p>\n\n<p>Email\nabstracts of 500 words to <a target="_blank">cua.emotion.conference@gmail.com</a> by December 9th\,\n2011. Decisions will be made by January 1st\,\n2012.</p>\n<p>Papers\nwill be expected to have a reading time of half an hour.</p>\n
