In epistemology\, the common sense approach is one of the options used to answer to the sceptical arguments. It has been accused of naivety and dogmatism for a long time\, but it appears now as a relevant theory which renews our understanding of human knowledge. But which theory do we refer to ? If common sense epistemology surely constitutes a philosophy\, are we entitled to consider it as one philosophy ? What does it offer: a method to tackle scepticism or a substantial thesis about first principles of knowledge? Common sense epistemology\, under the banner of Reid and Moore\, is not a theory whose edges are clear-cut. The two-days conference will be the occasion to draw the portrait of the commonsense philosopher and to show that this anti-sceptical strategy is far from being commonplace.
