\n\n\nThe International Bioethics Summer School hosted by the \;Bohemian National Hall

\nGlobal Bioethics Initiative \;(GBI)\, in collaboration with \;New York Medical College \;and the \;Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association\, \;invite students and professionals worldwide to attend the International Bioethics Summer School hosted by the \;Bohemian National Hall. \;Join us for this one-of-a-kind educational opportunity! The \;program \;is hosted by \;the \;Bohemian National Hall\, \; \;321 E 73rd St.\, Manhattan\, NY.
\n\nParticipants interested or working in the \;life-sciences\, medicine\, law\, public policy\, \;health care \;industry and biotechnology sectors\, among them\, are encouraged to take part in this the unique educational and collaborative experience. \; \;
\nThe program includes a series of lectures and seminars by notable faculty\, unique field trips\, film screenings\, evening events with guest speakers open to \;public \;and a mini-conference \;prior to the graduation ceremony. The lectures cover a wide range of important topics with global impact and relevance. Controversial issues such as embryonic stem cell research\, cloning\, gene therapy\, end-of-life decision making\, genetics\, reproductive technologies\, research on human subjects\, drug developments and stem cell research\, regenerative medicine and aging\, as well as organ transplantation and universal access to health care\, are presented. \;
\nWho can apply?
\nApplicants do not need to have a background in bioethics. Students (including senior high school) and professionals\, e.g. medical \;doctors\, nurses\, policy makers\, \;NGO \;representatives\, lawyers \;and \;journalists\, are eligible to apply.

\n·\; \; \; \; \; \; \; \; \; \;Students can intern with Global Bioethics Initiative this summer\, get a ground pass for the UN Headquarters in NYC\, and also attend the summer program.

\nGlobal Bioethics Initiative \;(GBI) is a not-for-profit international educational organization which \;keeps the international community\, policy decision-makers\, the media\, and the public informed about important \;bioethical \;issues through educational activities\, including the annual summer \;school on global bioethics. \;Many of the issues addressed by \;GBI \;are relevant to the work of the United Nations\, including reproductive and sexual rights\, human organ trafficking\, and the ethics of population aging. \;GBI \;is associated with the United Nations Department of Information (UNDPI) and enjoys special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). \;
