DESCRIPTION:<p>The WMU Graduate Student Association of Philosophers is pleased to announce its 12th Annual Philosophy Conference. The conference will take place at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo\, Michigan\, on November 9-10\, 2018.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;We are excited to have Dr. Jerrold Levinson (University of Maryland\, College Park) and Dr. John Doris (Washington University in St. Louis) join us as our keynote speakers this year as well as Dr. Justin C. Clark (Hamilton College) as our distinguished alumni speaker.</p>\n<p>Submissions by graduate and undergraduate&nbsp\;students in any field of philosophy are welcome\; special attention will be given to papers related to the keynote speakers&rsquo\; areas of specialization&nbsp\;and from members of historically underrepresented groups.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Previous keynote speakers include: Jennifer Lackey\, Helen Frowe\, Jonathan Schaffer\, Ted Sider\, Peter Railton\, and Hilary Kornblith.</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>The conference is free and open to the public.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Submission Guidelines&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Submissions should not exceed 3500 words and should be accompanied by an abstract (in a separate file) of less than 350 words. &nbsp\;Please send submissions to philosophy.wmich@gmail.com in PDF format. &nbsp\;Include your name\, affiliation\, and paper title in the email\, and prepare both your submission and abstract for blind review by removing any identifying information.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>The deadline for submission is September 8\, 2018.</p>\n<p>Limited housing accommodations and local transportation are available for presenters from WMU graduate students upon request.
