DESCRIPTION:<p>The philosophy of cognitive science has recently seen many programmatic calls for an embodied approach to cognition. But engineers\, ignoring the debates of philosophers\, claim to have already made significant advances towards a final theory of cognition via machine learning and specifically via deep learning. The aim of the workshop is to examine the strength of these claims\, the obstacles to their realizations\, and the very possibility of these models. We invite contributions from philosophers\, mathematical psychologists\, logicians\, theoretical computer scientists and cognitive scientists.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Topics may include embodied cognition\, ecological rationality\, deep learning\, the black box problem\, and the role of reasoning under uncertainty.</p>\n<p>Short abstracts (max. 500 words) should be sent to juraj@hvorecky.com by Septmeber 9th2018</p>
