DESCRIPTION:<p>Abstract:&nbsp\;This paper examines the character of Nietzsche&rsquo\;s philosophical naturalism and argues that it is informed by a methodological commitment to offer a comprehensive\, non-reductivist and non-eliminativist perspective of how the human being and its values fit into nature. Unfortunately\, Nietzsche&rsquo\;s non-reductive efforts have been interpreted in terms of the dualistic distinction between causes and reasons that also informs contemporary debates on the relation between the natural and the normative (Clark and Dudrick\, 2012). This paper argues that the will to power thesis is central to Nietzsche&rsquo\;s philosophical naturalism and that despite its much maligned status in Nietzsche studies and philosophical circles\, generally\, it has something to teach us about how to avoid this dualistic conclusion.</p>
