DESCRIPTION:<p>Announcing the Call for Papers for the</p>\n<p>20th Anniversary Session of the</p>\n<p>Southern Appalachian Undergraduate Philosophy Conference</p>\n<p>The University of North Carolina at Asheville</p>\n<p>February 8-9\, 2019</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;Our symposium provides a professional-style philosophical forum for aspiring undergraduates to present</p>\n<p>significant and original work. All papers will be evaluated by blind review process. At the conference\,</p>\n<p>judges from universities with important graduate programs will award prizes for the top three presentations.</p>\n<p>We are honored to announce that our judge and keynote speakers this year will be:</p>\n<p>Dr. Vrinda Dalmiya [University of Hawai&rsquo\;i]</p>\n<p>Dr. Chris Cuomo [University of Georgia]</p>\n<p>In addition\, in celebration of 20 years of wonderful undergraduate</p>\n<p>conferences\, we will be holding an opening reception on Friday Feb. 8</p>\n<p>for all participants and any alumni of the UNCA Philosophy Program</p>\n<p>or of the conference.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;Please submit each of the following as separate MS Word files to mburchar@unca.edu:</p>\n<p>&uml\;&nbsp\; a paper (approximately 10 pages or 3000 words)</p>\n<p>&uml\;&nbsp\; an abstract (150-200 words)</p>\n<p>&uml\;&nbsp\; a separate cover sheet with name and affiliation</p>\n<p>Papers&nbsp\; on any philosophical topic are welcome. Papers should be designed for a 20-minute presentation</p>\n<p>time [approximately 10 standard double-spaced pages]. The paper should not contain the author's name or</p>\n<p>institutional affiliation.</p>\n<p>Abstracts&nbsp\; should be attached to the paper\, should be one paragraph\, double-spaced\, no more than 150</p>\n<p>words.
