DESCRIPTION:<p>This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together researchers from&nbsp\; Philosophy\, Linguistics\, and Comparative and Developmental Psychology to present recent work on the pragmatics of communication (linguistic\, prelinguistic\, and nonlinguistic) and conversation.</p>\n<p>Submission guidelines:</p>\n<p>We invite abstracts of short papers (suitable for 25-30-min presentation) by junior researchers (including graduate students\, postdocs and untenured junior faculty). </p>\n<p>Abstracts (500-1\,000 words\, excluding references) should be ready for blind review and include the title of the paper\; they should make clear both the topic and the main arguments of the paper. The paper should be suited for a 30-minute presentation\, which will be followed by a 15-minute discussion. Please send a separate document the title of the paper\, author's name\, affiliation (if any)\, and contact information.</p>\n<p>Abstracts should be sent to Aliyar Ozercan aliyar.ozercan@uconn.edu by February 1st\, 2019. Notifications of acceptance will be sent no later than February 20\, 2019. Accepted papers will be asked to send a draft of their paper by April 1st\, 2019.</p>
