DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call For Papers:&nbsp\; The 21st Annual&nbsp\;Rocky Mountain Philosophy Conference</strong></p>\n<p>The Graduate Philosophy Society at the University of Colorado Boulder is pleased to invite paper submissions from graduate students for the 21st annual Rocky Mountain Philosophy Conference (RMPC). Submissions from all areas of philosophy are welcome.</p>\n<p><strong>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES</strong></p>\n<p>Papers should be suitable for a 25-30 minute presentation (no more than 3\,500 words\, excluding footnotes and bibliography). Submissions should be suitable for blind review and include a separate cover letter listing author name\, institution\, paper title\, abstract (150 words)\, keywords (up to 5)\, and contact information. Full consideration will be given to papers that engage with under-represented literature or approaches.</p>\n<p>The deadline for submitting papers is&nbsp\;<strong>Thursday\, January 10\, 2019.</strong></p>\n<p><strong></strong>Notifications of acceptance will be sent by <strong>Monday\, February 4\, 2019.</strong></p>\n<p>Please email papers as .doc or .pdf attachments to <u>rmpc@colorado.edu</u></p>\n<p>For more information\, please contact <u>rmpc@colorado.edu</u></p>\n<p><u><br></u><strong>MAP ESSAY PRIZE</strong></p>\n<p><strong></strong>A $200 prize will be awarded by the University of Colorado Boulder MAP Chapter</p>\n<p>Guidelines for consideration:</p>\n<p>1. The topic of the paper is relevant to MAP's mission to "examine and address issues of minority participation in academic philosophy". This includes but is not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Topics relevant to questions concerning marginalization and oppression along the axes of race\, gender\, class\, etc.\;</li>\n<li>Engagement with philosophy written by members of underrepresented groups\;</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Traditions that are in general considered to be underrepresented&nbsp\;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>2. Regardless of topic\, the author of the paper self-identifies as a member of an underrepresented group in professional philosophy</p>
