DESCRIPTION:<p>CALL FOR ABSTRACTS</p>\n<p>Workshop: &lsquo\;Metacognition\, Consciousness\, Agency&rsquo\;</p>\n<p>University of Barcelona\, May 9-10\, 2019</p>\n<p>Submission deadline: January 15\, 2019</p>\n<p>Confirmed Speakers: Myrto Mylopoulos (Carleton)\, Marion Rouault (UCL)\, Nicholas Shea (Institute of Philosophy)</p>\n<p>The ERC funded project Rethinking Conscious Agency (PI: Joshua Shepherd) will host a two-day workshop\, May 9-10\, 2019\, in Barcelona. The topics are Metacognition\, Consciousness\, and Agency. The aim of the workshop is to generate a fruitful discussion amongst interested scientists and philosophers concerning the nature of any of these three things\, and the relationships between them. This is deliberately broad: we hope for a wide-ranging discussion.</p>\n<p>Those interested in giving a talk at the workshop &ndash\; which might focus on aspects to do with metacognition\, or consciousness\, or agency\, or which might focus on relationships between any of them &ndash\; should submit a 500-ish word abstract of a proposed talk to <a href="mailto:rethinking.conscious.agency@gmail.com">rethinking.conscious.agency@gmail.com</a>\, by January 15\, 2019.</p>
