DESCRIPTION:<p>The Centre for the Study of Global Ethics is pleased to announce its Fifth Annual Conference. The theme for 2019 is&nbsp\;<strong><em>B</em></strong><strong><em>odies and Embodiment</em></strong>&nbsp\;across disciplines\, including politics\, philosophy\, law and ethics.&nbsp\;<br>&nbsp\;<br>We will explore issues such as&nbsp\;the ethics and governance of the body\, commodification\, objectification and sexualisation of the body\, marginalised and vulnerable bodies (including issues related to race\, trans-identity\, class\, disability\, illness\, age and pregnancy)\, violation of the body\, practices of body modification and enhancement and the relevance of embodiment to (abstract) theory.<br><br>In addition to the central theme\, we invite contributions from a wide range of topics from across global ethics and justice. See&nbsp\;<em>Call for Papers&nbsp\;</em>for more information.<br><br>This conference fully endorses the&nbsp\;<em>Good Practice Scheme&nbsp\;</em>of the British Philosophical Association and the Society for Women in Philosophy.&nbsp\;</p>
