Plenary Speakers:
Dr. Michelle Panchuk. \;Dr. \;Michelle \;Panchuk \;is an assistant professor of philosophy at Murray State University. \;Prior to coming to MSU\, she received her PhD from the University of South Carolina in 2016 and held a one year postdoctoral research fellowship in the Center for Philosophy of Religion at the University of Notre Dame. Her current research clusters at the intersection of philosophy of religion with trauma theory and feminist philosophy. These projects aim to give a philosophical account of\, and response to\, the phenomena of religious trauma and spiritual violence. Her other interests include metaphysics (abstract properties\, theistic conceptual realism\, the doctrine of divine simplicity)\, the history of Russian philosophy (esp. Vladimir Solov&rsquo\;ev)\, and philosophy of race. \;Her work has been published in \;Res Philosophica\, \;International Philosophical Quarterly\, \;and \;The Encyclopedia of Philosophy of Religion\, and she has an edited volume (co-edited with Michael Rea)\, entitled \;Marginalized Identities\, Peripheral Theologies: Expanding Conversations in \;Analytic \;Theology\, \;under contract with Oxford University Press. \; \;

Dr. Willie James Jennings. \; \;Dr. Jennings is an associate professor of systematic theology and Africana studies at Yale Divinity School. \;Writing in the areas of liberation theologies\, cultural identities\, and anthropology\, Dr. Jennings has authored more than 40 scholarly essays and nearly two-dozen reviews. \; Jennings&rsquo\; book\, \;The Christian Imagination: Theology and the Origins of Race \;(Yale 2010) won the American Academy of Religion Award of Excellence in the Study of Religion in the Constructive-Reflective category the year after it appeared and\, in 2015\, the Grawemeyer Award in Religion\, the largest \;prize \;for a theological work in North America.

We invite abstracts for papers dealing with any topic in philosophy that is of interest to Christian philosophers. Abstracts of at least 400 words should be submitted via email as a PDF attachment no later than \;11:59pm EST January 18\, 2019 \;to Shawn Graves (University of Findlay)\, Chair of the Midwest Region of the EPS\, at \;graves@findlay.edu. We welcome submissions from anyone and everyone. We especially encourage submissions from underrepresented groups in philosophy. \;

Presenters will have 30 minutes to present their papers and should plan for 10 minutes of Q&\;A.
