DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call for Abstracts</strong></p>\n<p>While the conference focuses in the realm of Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Science\, we welcome proposals that work on other related areas\, but that still have as central focus the nature and phenomenology of dreams\, hallucination and imagination. Topics included (but aren&rsquo\;t limited to):</p>\n<p>-Theoretical analysis about different theories on the nature of dreams</p>\n<p>-Empirical findings on dream\, hallucinatory and imaginative experiences</p>\n<p>-Considerations about the difference and similarities between dreams and either hallucinations or imagination.</p>\n<p>-Considerations about the epistemological implications of assuming that dreams\, hallucinations or imagination might be the same kind of state.</p>\n<p><strong>Submission Information and Guidelines</strong></p>\n<p>We invite submissions of long abstracts of&nbsp\;500 words&nbsp\;prepared for blind review\, on any topic related to the conference theme by&nbsp\;4th&nbsp\;of January&nbsp\;for giving a&nbsp\;40-minute&nbsp\;(plus 20minutes Q&amp\;A) presentation at the conference.</p>\n<p>Submit your proposal at Easy Chair</p>\n<p><strong> https://easychair.org/my/conference.cgi?conf=dreamshallucinationa&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p>Please\, include with your submission a separate short cover with some information about yourself and your research. If you are a member of a group that is&nbsp\;underrepresented in professional philosophy&nbsp\;and wish to identify yourself as such\, please include this information on your cover sheet. Applicants will be notified of the final decision by&nbsp\;21st&nbsp\;of January.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Submissions are restricted to postgraduate students (<em>Mphil\, Msc\, Mlitt and PhD</em>) and Early-career researchers (PostDocs and Lecturers who have obtained their PhD in the last 2 years).</p>\n<p>The conference aims at complying with the&nbsp\;BPA/SWiP Good Practice Scheme&nbsp\;and therefore\, we encourage participation particularly for those from underrepresented groups in Academia. Acceptances will only be made on basis of originality\, quality and adequacy of the abstracts with the topic of the workshop.</p>\n<p><strong>Bursaries</strong><br>We have been granted a number of postgraduate accommodation bursaries from the&nbsp\;Analysis Trust&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;Mind Association&nbsp\;for funding the accommodation costs for the contributors (the accommodation will be booked by us).
