DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>&lsquo\;Divine Grace\, Human Freedom\, and the Way of Salvation&rsquo\;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p><em>The Society of Christian Philosophers: UK 2019 Workshop</em><em></em></p>\n<p>The Society of Christian Philosophers: UK is pleased to announce its second workshop\, on the theme of Divine Grace\, Human Freedom\, and the Way of Salvation.</p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p>How are we saved? Is it purely an act of God: &lsquo\;For by grace you have been saved through faith\, and this is not your own doing\; it is the gift of God&mdash\; not the result of works\, so that no one may boast&rsquo\; (Ephesians 2.8-9). Or do we play some part in it: &lsquo\;Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life\; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life\, but must endure God&rsquo\;s wrath&rsquo\; (John 3.36). If it is purely an act of God\, it seems human freedom is lost. But if we play some part in it\, it seems we haven&rsquo\;t really fallen\, so don't really need to be saved. So\, how can salvation be by grace\, where it is a gift of God\, and also through faith\, where we contribute to it?
