Can they be unconscious? &nbsp\;&nbsp\; What roles do they play in judgment\, decision-making\, and values?&nbsp\; Are they rational?&nbsp\; Or voluntary?&nbsp\; How are they implicated in bias?&nbsp\; Should some emotions be suppressed? &nbsp\;&nbsp\; What is the best analysis of specific emotions\, such as anger\, love\, or awe? &nbsp\;&nbsp\; What is valence? What are feelings? Do feelings differ from emotions?&nbsp\;&nbsp\; What can be said about other affective constructs such as empathy\, desires\, or moods? &nbsp\; &nbsp\; <br><br>This workshop will provide a forum for researchers doing work on emotions and related states. The goal is to share new ideas and lines of inquiry\, to develop new reflections\, and to foster communication between those of us who are investigating emotions in the New York area\, and beyond.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;<em></em></p>
