DESCRIPTION:<p>The IRH-ICUB and the Faculty of Philosophy\, University of Bucharest are happy to announce the 8th edition of the Bucharest Graduate Conference in Early Modern Philosophy. &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>1-2 November 2019 &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Keynote Speakers: Andrew Janiak (Duke University) Carla Rita Palmerino (Radboud University Nijmegen) Friedrich Steinle (Technical University Berlin) &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Venue: IRH-ICUB &amp\; Faculty of Philosophy\, University of Bucharest &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The eighth edition of the Bucharest Graduate Conference in Early Modern Philosophy will take place at the IRH-ICUB\, on 1-2 November 2019. This edition is organized by the IRH-ICUB and the Department of Theoretical Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy\, University of Bucharest. Both MA and PhD students working in the field of Early Modern Philosophy are encouraged to participate.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We invite graduate students to submit abstracts on any topic related to Early Modern Philosophy to mariadaniela097@yahoo.com. The deadline <strong>has been extended to July 21</strong>. The proposals should not exceed 500 words and should be prepared for blind review. Each presentation will be given 40 mins (25 mins talk and 15 mins Q&amp\;A). The organizing committee will notify authors of its decision by August 10. There is no participation fee. However\, we do not cover travelling and accommodation expenses. &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Our event is preceded by the Bucharest Colloquium in Early Modern Science: The Emergence of Mathematical Physics in the Context of Experimental Philosophy (IRH-ICUB\, 30 October-1 November). &nbsp\;</p>
