Sec.) &nbsp\;14 Castle Avenue\, DOVER Kent CT16 1EZ \,&nbsp\;e-mail:&nbsp\;<a#1155cc\;" href="mailto:gnharby@onetel.com">gnharby@onetel.com\, Tel 01304 205304

(Please indicate any special requirements\, such as vegetarian food. No&nbsp\;payment is required at the booking stage.) The conference is&nbsp\;non-denominational and open to all.

There are good links by public transport. If you arrive by train\, turn&nbsp\;right out of the Guildford station main entrance\, then left at the main&nbsp\;road\, walking over the bridge. Make your way to Guildford Friary bus station&nbsp\;- accessible through the Friary Shopping centre\, directly in front of you&nbsp\;after crossing the Bridge. Go into the entrance in front of you\, down the&nbsp\;corridor\, turn left\, go up the escalator and turn right at Primark. This&nbsp\;will bring you out at Bay 5\, and Bay 7 is just on your left. If in doubt\,&nbsp\;simply follow the pavement round the block\, roughly opposite the point where&nbsp\;you crossed the road.

Buses to St John's leave frequently\, normally every 20 minutes\, from Stop 7&nbsp\;(buses 53 or 63). Do not worry that Wonersh is not shown on any signs at the&nbsp\;bus station. Ask the driver for a ticket to St John's Seminary and ask to be&nbsp\;let off at the first (top) entrance. You will then be dropped off at the&nbsp\;gate about 15 minutes after departure - a taxi could hardly do better. When&nbsp\;the bus goes into Wonersh\, watch as it passes an old pub called the Grantley&nbsp\;Arms\, on the right hand side. The bus continues for perhaps 150 metres&nbsp\;before taking a 90% left-turn and moving up the hill. That&rsquo\;s when you press&nbsp\;the button to get off. Some buses have electronic signs telling you when you&nbsp\;are nearing St John&rsquo\;s.

streetmap.com> &nbsp\;Ref: GU5 0QX may be useful.

Wonersh telephone number is: 01483 892217 (Staff)
\n
The Conference was created to provide a slightly more informal conference than many others. St John&rsquo\;s Seminary provides a delightful\, rural setting\, close to London and very easily reached by public transport (buses run from Guildford Friary Bus Station to the gate ever 15 minutes: Routes 53/63 from Stand 7). Speakers in previous years have included Anthony Flew\, Patrick Sherry\, John Cottingham\, Mark Wynn\, and Elizabeth Anscombe. The Conference has a commitment to providing a forum for younger or less well-known scholars.

Enquiries or requests to be included on the annual mailing list may be made to Michael Wilkinson (mbmwilkinson@hotmail.com).
