DESCRIPTION:
One exciting thing about the current debates in philosophy of physics is the steady movement away from classical issues like the measurement problem and the conventionality of the metric into more cutting-edge issues in areas like high-energy physics or condensed matter physics. We are looking for high-quality contributions in all philosophy of physics\, but especially for ones that address problems arising in these two areas.&nbsp\;
\n
Program Committee:&nbsp\;
Sorin Bangu (Bergen)
Robert Batterman (Pittsburgh)
Katherine Brading (Notre Dame)
Jeremy Butterfield (Cambridge)
Brigitte Falkenburg (Dortmund)
Don Howard (Notre Dame)
James Ladyman (Bristol)
Antigone Nounou (Athens)
Ilie Parvu (Bucharest)
Iulian Toader (Bucharest)
\n
Local Organizing Committee:&nbsp\;
Sorin Costreie (Bucharest)
Andreea Esanu (Bucharest)
Dana Jalobeanu (Bucharest)
Sebastian Mateiescu (Bucharest)
Laurentiu Staicu (Bucharest)
Gheorghe Stefanov (Bucharest)
Iulian Toader (Bucharest)
\n
Presentations will be 40 minutes\, followed by 15 minutes for discussion. &nbsp\;
Please send a 500-word abstract\, prepared for blind review\, to&nbsp\;bcap2013@gmail.com &nbsp\;
Deadline for submission is January 15\, 2013.&nbsp\; Decisions will be announced on February 15\, 2013.&nbsp\;For more information\, please contact: Iulian Toader\, itoad71@gmail.com
